Originally from Toronto, Louise writes under Louise Sidley and Louise Aziz Sidley.
She lives with her sculptor husband and their son's turtle in Rossland, a historic mining town situated in traditional and unceded Sinixt territory in British Columbia’s Monashee Range. She earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia.
Louise has been a member of the Columbia River Writers, a local critique and support group since its inception in 2000. She is a second generation Canadian whose grandparents fled to Canada from Syria in the early 1900's.
